Did you know? Caribbean manatees are gentle herbivores, spending up to eight hours a day munching on seagrass and aquatic plants. They are nicknamed “sea cows” because of their slow grazing and calm nature. Manatees need to surface for air but can hold their breath for about 20 minutes while resting.
